Bible Verse: 2nd Corinthians 4: 17-18

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal

Drought is the occurrence of something that prevails over your land causing your seed not to be productive. It can also cause your land to be patched, thereby preventing farming or cultivating crops.
When a person is going through drought, the person no longer enjoys the luxury of the things that he ought to enjoy i.e. where you have been successful before, you find yourself failing. This can be very depressing, but God wants us to know that in the middle of our drought, there is a miracle and He is preparing our breakthrough even in that drought.
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us" Romans 5: 1-5 When who we love or what we love is taken away from us, we are left in pain. Jacob had lost his much loved son, whom he thought was dead and was experiencing famine and was going through a period of drought in his life, however, it was during this period that Jacob was united back to his son Joseph who happens to have been a ruler in Egypt while Jacob thought he was dead.
God is preparing to bring us to the manifestation of that which we thought we have lost completely. We should understand that challenges come to everybody, however there is nobody who is serving God sincerely that will pass through challenges and it will not turn out to work for the benefit of the person.
Challenges in Life are not necessarily a sign of spiritual maturity; however, it can be a tool for it. You must understand that the challenge you are going through right now, someone else has experienced it before. They differ from person to another, but as believers, all challenges amount to our promotion.
Whenever we see somebody going through challenges that we have already experienced, we should be kind enough to assist that person. We should never despise anybody going through any form of challenge because someday in the future, we may need him to share his experience on how he overcame it. We must come to this truth that “Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning”.

Exodus 17:1-3
We should be very careful about what we say when we are going through our drought. One of the ways we can experience our miracle during drought is to declare the outcome by faith. What we say in the time of drought is a declaration of the outcome, therefore we should not declare a negative outcome in our drought season, but rather, we should declare our faith and get our miracle. Let us have this in our consciousness that every discomfort is a prompting to a new experience. Sometimes, drought is a preparation for God to move us to a place where He wants us to be.
How to get your miracle in your drought

1. LISTEN
2. OBEY

When you read Genesis 22:1-18, you will observe that everything that happened to Abraham happened because he listened to the voice of God and obeyed. Whatever the draught you are facing, you must listen to God and obey Him. Gen 26:1-3, Isaac listened to God and Obeyed Him that is why he was fruitful in the time of famine. When you listen to God and obey Him, you position yourself and your house to be a place where people will gather together in scarcity, but when you walk in the counsel of the ungodly, you can kill yourself and other people around you.
